Effie Young has thirty years’ hands on experience in the fashion, luxury, consumer and retail sectors. With a background in fashion wholesale and retail, advertising, PR, film and event production she has skills perfectly suited to managing an integrated lifestyle marketing business. As such Effie established Style Counsel to provide a holistic service across a diverse range of lifestyle businesses.
Having worked with some of the most recognisable international and local brands including Witchery, French Connection, Target, Weylandts, Bang & Olufsen, Doc Martens, Desert Boots, Red Earth, Chadstone. The Fashion Capital and a host of others, her experience is vast and well acknowledged. Effie has been responsible for creating notable campaigns including Witchery’s White Shirt Campaign, Target’s Designers for Target initiative, Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia, Dita Von Teese Lingerie (global) and the Ian Thorpe for Omega Watches campaign.
Reece returned to Australia and joined the Style Counsel team in 2012 after working in the UK for a number of years in fashion and PR. Reece has been an integral part of the Style Counsel team ever since and has managed pivotal campaigns for international and local fashion & lifestyle clients including Hugo Boss, Dita Von Teese, Telstra Perth Fashion Festival, Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia, Oasis and Warehouse London, Fred Perry, Melbourne Racing Club and Weylandts. Reece is also Style Counsel’s in-house producer, creatively producing and managing seasonal runway shows for Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Chatswood Chase Sydney as well as campaign photo shoots for Dita Von Teese Lingerie and Midas Shoes.
A long-term Style Counsellor, Jess is a dedicated communications professional with a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the media industry, with an emphasis on fashion, lifestyle and beauty. Having worked for some of the world’s best known brands including; Vera Wang, Prada, Comme Des Garcons, Carolina Herrera and Laurent Perrier, Jess has extensive experience in activating high calibre events and campaigns in Europe, The United States and Australia. She is passionate and enthusiastic, has a desire for knowledge and a drive for delivering strong and relevant results in the lifestyle arena.
Daniella joined the Style Counsel team in February 2015 after graduating from Media and Communications at Deakin University, double majoring in Public Relations and Journalism. Daniella assists on Style Counsel’s fashion accounts including Oasis, Warehouse, Dita Von Teese Lingerie, Affinitas Lingerie and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, as well as managing beauty brands INIKA and Designer Brands. Daniella’s responsibilities include product placement, blogger, influencer and media relations, event coordination and managing the Style Counsel showroom.
Sara is an experienced and highly skilled designer. She has executed an array of successful creative campaigns for fashion and lifestyle brands in both the PR and advertising sphere, working on campaigns from start to finish across concept development, artwork design, art direction, brand identity and final retouching.
With over eight years’ experience in the industry, Sara has executed an array of successful creative campaigns for fashion and lifestyle brands in both PR and advertising, including Midas Shoes, Weylandts, Melbourne Racing Club, Collette Dinnigan, Dita Von Teese, Novo Shoes, Cooper St, Harris Scarfe, Target, The Age, Maggie T, Yarra Trail, Mr K and Brown Brothers.
Claire is Style Counsel’s newest recruit, appointed as Account Manager for Indooroopilly Shopping Centre to drive media relations, publicity and event activity for the fashion focused complex. Claire has managed campaigns for clients such as QBD The Bookshop, Stradbroke Chamber of Commerce and Fruition Tuition, where she successfully executed social media strategies, competitions and blogger outreach.
With over four years’ experience in lifestyle and entertainment journalism, Claire is in the know for new movements within Brisbane and has longstanding relationships with Brisbane lifestyle editors she has worked alongside.
